Laini and Gio’s Blackberry Ridge wedding at The Conservatory in Trenton, Georgia, was such a perfect day. Blackberry Ridge is truly one of the most breathtaking wedding venues I’ve ever photographed; it feels like stepping into a French countryside chateau. The early summer light poured over the venue, giving us a day that felt as radiant and full of meaning as Laini and Gio’s love story.
The day began with both the bride and groom surrounded by their closest family and friends. In the groom’s suite, Gio and his groomsmen played poker with a custom poker set. Meanwhile, upstairs, the bridal suite was filled with excitement as Laini and her bridesmaids got ready in their matching pajamas.
Laini made one special photo request I absolutely adored, a portrait of her on the balcony off the bridal suite. The view from the balcony overlooked the tree-lined entrance, creating a romantic, storybook setting for one of the most iconic photos of the day. Before the girls slipped into their dresses, they gathered for a champagne toast, a joyful, bubbly kickoff to the day’s celebrations.
One of my favorite details from the morning was something incredibly thoughtful from Gio. He wrote personal letters to each of Laini’s bridesmaids, which they read while getting ready. It was a heartfelt gesture, and emotion filled the room as they read his words.
The bridal suite itself was a dream for photographs, filled with light, ornate details, and the perfect setting for Laini to step into her gown. Once she was ready, she shared a private first look with her dad, a tender and emotional moment.
Just outside the French-inspired chateau, Laini and Gio shared their first look. The anticipation on their faces melted into pure joy the moment they saw each other. They chose to exchange private vows during this time, which was intimate and meaningful, as just the two of them promised to be together forever, with the stunning Blackberry Ridge grounds as their backdrop. Tucked into a day full of celebration, this private moment gave the two the perfect chance to connect at their Blackberry Ridge wedding before the day’s chaos began.
Laini’s bouquet was a sweet, whimsical mix of florals in soft pastels with a few pops of yellow, perfectly echoing the mismatched pastel dresses her bridesmaids wore. Together, the entire wedding party looked incredible, and we took full advantage of the lush property for portraits before the ceremony began.
Their ceremony took place in the breathtaking courtyard at Blackberry Ridge. Enclosed by French castle doors, with views of the marble dome and sparkling waterside, it felt like something straight out of a fairytale. This unforgettable moment of their Blackberry Ridge wedding perfectly captured the romance of the venue. As Laini and Gio exchanged vows, the venue’s timeless, European-inspired beauty framed their love.
When they sealed their vows with a kiss and walked back up the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Leonor, guests showered them with flower petals. Since Laini and Gio had done a first look and finished photos earlier, they were free to join cocktail hour, mingling with their loved ones and soaking in every moment.
The reception took place inside The Conservatory at Blackberry Ridge, and it was truly unforgettable. With its all-glass walls and ceiling, wrought-iron details, and crystal chandeliers, the space glowed with daylight. Louis-style chairs, soft floral centerpieces, and blue napkins created a classic tablescape. I loved that Laini added her own touch with DIY seating charts and wedding signage; it made the elegant space feel uniquely theirs.
When the couple made their entrance, they went straight into their first dance, complete with the most iconic lift. It was picture-perfect and the best way to kick off the night. After a round of heartfelt parent dances, guests enjoyed cake cutting and other traditional reception activities before taking to the dance floor.
As the sun set, we slipped outside for a few golden-hour portraits. The soft June sky gave us the perfect backdrop.
One of the most fun parts of the evening was Laini’s outfit change. She slipped into a second dress and had her hair styled in an elegant updo, giving her a whole new bridal look for the rest of the night. It was such a playful way to surprise guests and capture two different styles on her wedding day.
The dance floor remained packed all night, filled with laughter, music, and an abundance of celebration. As the evening came to a close, guests lined up with streamers in hand to send off the newlyweds. Laini and Gio ran through the streamers, hand in hand, before hopping into their getaway car, complete with a custom license plate.
Gio and Liani’s Blackberry Ridge wedding was everything a summer celebration should be. From their sweet first look to their lively reception, every detail reflected who they are as a couple. Blackberry Ridge is one of the most magical venues in Georgia, and it was the perfect setting for their day.
