Cheekwood Nashville Wedding

July 2, 2025

Christine and Nick’s Cheekwood Nashville wedding was truly the definition of a spring fairytale. Set against the lush gardens and timeless elegance of Cheekwood Estate & Gardens, their day overflowed with joy, color, and unforgettable moments. The couple, who met in Nashville but now live in New York, turned their wedding into a destination weekend for their friends and family, and what a celebration it was! From the very beginning, Christine and Nick were intentional about creating an experience their guests would never forget. Every detail reflected not just their style, but also their vibrant, fun-loving personalities.

The day began with Christine getting ready alongside her bridesmaids, who each wore unique dresses in different colors and floral patterns. The dresses were a stunning nod to the wild spring floral theme that tied the day together. Laughter and excitement filled the room as everyone prepared for the celebration ahead. Meanwhile, Nick was nearby getting ready with his groomsmen, equally excited for the day to unfold.

Christine and Nick shared a sweet first look by the reflecting pool, and it was one of those quiet, emotional moments that I absolutely love capturing. The way they looked at each other said everything, and the peaceful beauty of Cheekwood created the perfect backdrop. Afterward, we wandered the property for portraits, taking full advantage of the estate’s blooming gardens, stone pathways, and classic charm.

Their ceremony took place in the Willis Perennial Garden, and it was nothing short of magical. The aisle was lined with vibrant ground florals leading to a stunning arch overflowing with greenery and blooms, all bathed in golden spring sunlight that streamed brightly through the garden. It was the kind of moment where everything slows down and you can feel the emotion in the air. Guests watched as Christine and Nick exchanged vows surrounded by nature’s beauty, and you could see how meaningful it was for everyone to witness their love in such a stunning, intimate space. One of the things that makes a Cheekwood Nashville wedding so special is how seamlessly the natural surroundings enhance the entire experience and this ceremony was the perfect example.

After the ceremony, guests were treated to a cocktail hour complete with signature espresso martinis and clever conversation starter drink toppers (please re-word that sentence, i’m not sure it sounds right?). It was such a fun way to spark connection and keep the celebration personal and engaging. As the sun began to dip, we made our way to the reception, which was in Massey Hall located within the Cheekwood property. The space was transformed into what felt like a secret garden. It was filled with wildflower-inspired arrangements, soft candlelight, and elegant greenery that tied back to the couple’s floral theme.

The reception was where the energy truly soared. Christine and Nick brought in a live band that had everyone on their feet. They even added stilt walkers to the mix, who passed out fun dance floor props, making the entire evening feel like an upscale, whimsical party. Midway through the reception, Christine changed into a second outfit, and the couple made a re-entrance that had the whole room cheering. It was such a fun surprise and added even more personality to an already lively evening. As a Nashville wedding photographer, moments like these are what make documenting weddings so special.

As the night wound down, guests lined up with bubbles in hand, and the couple made their way through the tunnel of guests, hand-in-hand and smiling ear to ear. It was the perfect sendoff to an unforgettable day.
