The Venue at Birchwood Wedding | Austin + Hannah
Hannah and Austin’s wedding at The Venue at Birchwood in Spring Hill, Tennessee, was truly a highlight of my wedding season. With a vision steeped in fall elegance, personal details, and rustic charm, Austin and Hannah turned this beautiful venue into a reflection of their love story. Vibrant foliage and crisp autumn air set the scene as I captured the meaningful moments of their wedding day.
Excitement filled the atmosphere from the moment I arrived. Hannah and her bridesmaids were getting ready, each wearing matching robes that added a sweet touch to the morning. Meanwhile, Austin and his groomsmen were busy playing a poker game in the groom’s room. These moments on a wedding day give me insight into each couple’s unique personality, and I could tell these two and their friends were full of life.
The first look was one of my favorite moments of the day. Once Hannah and Austin were dressed and ready, they met for an intimate first look before the ceremony. Austin’s eyes filled with happy tears as he turned to see Hannah for the first time in her wedding dress, and you could see the love and excitement shared between them. Having a first look allowed us to capture all their portraits before the ceremony, easing any nerves and giving them plenty of time to enjoy the day without rushing between photos and events. With a fall wedding, couples should remember that sunset occurs much earlier than in summer. Since these two planned a ceremony ending after sunset, deciding to have a first look was their best option.
The fall-inspired details stood out in their attire and decor. Hannah’s bouquet was a work of art featuring seasonal blooms in warm hues that perfectly complemented the autumn setting. Her dress was stunning, with intricate flower applique that added a touch of charm, while Austin looked great in his classic suit that perfectly went with the rustic vibe of The Venue at Birchwood.
They held the ceremony in the charming white chapel on the property, one of my favorite spots at The Venue at Birchwood. The chapel has an all-white interior with exposed wood beams, creating a beautiful blend of elegance and rustic charm. Hannah and Austin added pampas grass along the aisle, giving the space a soft, natural texture that brought the fall theme to life. Their ceremony was genuine and personal, surrounded by family and friends who were truly there to celebrate their love. Everyone cheered when they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
One of the things I love about The Venue at Birchwood is how well-designed each space is for a seamless flow throughout the day. After the ceremony, guests went through the breezeway to the reception barn, which is just as lovely as the chapel. The reception space boasts the same white interior and wood-beam accents, with dark wood chairs and farm tables that exude a warm, welcoming feel. Hannah and Austin chose a simple yet elegant tablescape with white cheesecloth runners and soft pink napkins, creating a charm that perfectly fits the venue’s rustic elegance.
The reception featured all the classic wedding moments: sincere toasts, cake cutting, and, of course, the dances. But Hannah and her dad surprised everyone with a choreographed dance that amazed the guests! After that, guests packed the dance floor all night long. You could feel the love and happiness radiating from everyone there, celebrating the union of two incredible people.
As a Nashville wedding photographer, I can’t think of a better location than The Venue at Birchwood for a wedding combining rustic charm and classic elegance. The all-in-one design of the venue keeps everything close and connected, but each space—whether it’s the chapel, the outdoor grounds, or the reception barn—has its unique character that adds to the experience. For couples looking for a venue where every detail feels tailored to their day, The Venue at Birchwood really delivers.
Hannah and Austin’s wedding was one of those days that reminded me why I love what I do. Congratulations to the happy couple, and thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day. Enjoy scrolling through my favorites from their fall wedding at The Venue at Birchwood!
