Emma and Davis’ spring wedding day was the perfect blend of elegance, personality, and celebration. The day began with a heartfelt ceremony at the Cathedral of the Incarnation and continued with a vibrant, joy-filled reception at Saint Elle Nashville. Every part of their day felt intentional, colorful, and so full of love, even when a little spring storm rolled in.
The morning began with photographing the little details that made the day feel uniquely theirs. Their invitation suite was one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen. A romantic floral border around the invite, with coordinating detail cards in soft greens and pops of berry red. It all set the tone perfectly for the floral-forward day to come.
Emma’s engagement ring, uniquely beautiful and full of character, was a vintage-style cluster design featuring a marquise-cut diamond at the center. She prepared for the day, surrounded by excitement, happy energy, and the loving support of her mom and sister.
The first of many emotional moments came with a series of charming first looks, starting with Davis seeing his mom and grandmother. I loved that he made time for this. It’s not something you see often, and it felt significant.
Outside the venue, Emma shared a reveal with her bridesmaids, and their reaction was nothing short of pure joy. Cheers, laughter, and a big group hug filled the air the moment they saw her in her dress. Her final first look was with her dad, and it was quiet and deeply heartfelt. Then, finally, it was time for Emma and Davis to see each other.
Their first look, just before the skies opened up, was one of my favorite parts of the day. With Davis waiting calmly and Emma approaching from behind, the anticipation built with every step, until she tapped his shoulder, and their first look became a moment they’ll never forget. When Davis finally saw Emma, his face was a picture of pure awe and love. We quickly snuck in their portraits before the rain rolled in.
Emma’s bouquet was a lush mix of pinks and purples with greenery, the perfect touch for a spring wedding. Her bridesmaids wore floral dresses in varying shades of pink, blue, and yellow, each one unique, yet tied together beautifully. Their white and green bouquets were a thoughtful choice that complemented their dresses perfectly. When the storm hit, we moved the wedding party photos inside Saint Elle Nashville, and the clean, modern space ended up being the perfect backdrop.
Their ceremony took place at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, one of Nashville’s most breathtaking ceremony locations. The grandeur of the architecture, paired with a traditional Catholic service, created such a timeless, sacred atmosphere as they exchanged vows surrounded by friends and family.
Afterward, the celebration continued at Saint Elle Nashville. The reception room was filled with a mix of round and long tables, each decorated with gorgeous floral centerpieces and glowing candles nestled in tall glass vases. The soft lighting made the whole space feel warm, romantic, and welcoming.
Emma and Davis made a joyful entrance into the reception and immediately shared their first dance in the center of the room, with all their guests standing around the dance floor cheering them on. Afterward, they shared a champagne toast, cut their elegant three-tier white cake adorned with intricate floral detailing, and then it was time to hit the dance floor.
As the sun peeked back out after the storm, we slipped away for a few sunset portraits just outside Saint Elle Nashville. The sky glowed softly, and you could see a sliver of the Nashville skyline in the distance.
Back inside, the party was in full swing thanks to a lively live band that had everyone dancing non-stop. Davis made a fun outfit change into a white jacket, and both he and Emma switched into matching Nikes, a playful, personal touch. They truly wanted their guests to have fun, and they succeeded. From the music to the energy on the dance floor, the entire evening felt like a whimsical celebration of their love.
As the night came to a close, guests lined up outside with bubbles in hand. Emma and Davis made their grand exit through a tunnel of floating bubbles, hand-in-hand, beaming, and officially married.
This Saint Elle Nashville wedding was everything a spring celebration should be. Emma and Davis, thank you for letting me capture such a special day; it was truly magical from beginning to end.
